I really must get my act together and use my blog more.

Crazy Quilt, Jewel Tones with Roses

The Roses were embroidered in the late 1980's by me and finally

 used in

this over the top Crazy Quilt.

That Pouting Princess

She pouted alot.

Hummed n haa'd over threads and colours to use. :)

So, just because she had been stashed away for a long time

is no excuse to be grumpy.

Still looking a bit forlorn

Is it because her apron wont sit flat.Poor girl ;)

I rescued her years ago, to upcycle.

Someone had spent a great deal of time and effort in stitching, very closely her dress and apron, and no matter how much ironing was done, it just wont sit flat.So we will go with the flow and stitch down so the ripples give a 3D effect.

Again, on a base cloth and a vintage silk piece, I have layered these more brightly coloured stitcheries.

The twirling ladies were just perfect to act as attendants.

It can be tricky at times to work with these brighter colours in a project, But this grouping work together in a summery, gaudy type of way.

They seem to be dancing in a garden.

Lots of stitching and fripperies to come.

Shabby Chic Collage for Spring.

Ta Da !!!!

Every Shabby Chic-er needs a Spring Bonnet or two.

This hat already had the purple ribbon on it so, since I love purple I left it there.

Oh I love spring.

Flowers on Headbands and A Hat

I made these textured flowers a wee while ago and heres

a use for a couple of them.

Onto a stretchy Headband

Then on a store bought hat that already

had a beaded bow on it.

Shabby Collage with Puppies. Bookwrap

I'm moving my Shabby Collage and other works over to my Etsy site.

Including my latest Shabby Book Wrap that features the cutest little puppies.

I found this fabric awhile ago at a quilting shop and couldnt resist it.

They are just perfect to be peeking out of a lacey background.
