Crochet Flowers

While looking into what stitching I can do

once we go mobile later this year, I resurrected my limited crocheting skills.

 

So here are a few of the little flowers

that have been appearing around the place.

Ive used fine wools and crochet cottons and embroidery threads.

A few have ended up on the Angel hats....but.

...Wait there's more ;)

 

What to do with flowers when you obsessively stitch like I do.

 

 

As soon as the project is done I will post photos.

Gowns n Hats for Kiwi angel babes

In my distracted moments Im still stitching :)

 

These are hats, bonnets and angel gowns for

Kiwi Babies

All handstitched and I used some lovely Sari's I had collected

and various other yummy fabrics.

The little white beanies were made by my partner on his

sock machine.

 

Oh boy, was I still stitching..lol..

Wait til you see what Ive been doing with crocheted flowers.

Collage on a Stormy Day

Winter has arrived waaay too early

and this storm is a wet n wild doozy, so what's a girl to do.

Play with paper n glue.

 

I found this tutorial by Sue Dove

and just had to have a go.

 

 

 

Today, since the storm is still here, I will do the second

part and use watercolours to do the backgrounds.

Top is all done.

A large single bed size.

All hand done.

The quilting will go into the to-do pile ;)

 

I love the intensity of the in-your-face colours.

Doesn't it ooze warmth.
